Portuguese coach Pedro Caixinha, formerly of RB Bragantino, had an advanced agreement with Grêmio, but details of the agreement caused negotiations to backtrack. The information comes from columnist Diogo Dantas, from “O Globo”.
Points such as passages from the Portuguese family, living in Porto Alegre and other situations weighed on the parties’ retreat, causing the relationship to become strained.
Sources close to the situation claim that the deal has not been closed and there is still the possibility of Caixinha coaching Grêmio in 2025.
