A Russian prisoner of war has revealed how North Korean soldiers deployed with the Russian army fight in the war against Ukraine. During interrogation, Wajiya Khubrevich admitted that North Korean soldiers located on the territory of the Kursk region have privileges over Russian ones.
The recording of the Russian prisoner’s statements was published on the InformNapalm website. “They have better living conditions and much tastier food,” Khubrevich said, according to the media. .
“They eat twice as much as we do. We eat pearl barley, they eat eggs, chocolate and even coffee,” the prisoner confessed. Additionally, he drew attention to the way North Korean soldiers fight.
“Their units are rigid and disciplined, combined with a high autonomy of action,” he said. “Koreans don’t smile. They are cruel, they have no humanity,” he said, adding that many times their way of fighting was not consulted with Russian commanders.
Chubrewicz admitted that there are very different opinions among Russians about the capabilities of North Korean soldiers. According to the Russian prisoner, high-ranking commanders are pleased with them because of their tenacity, since even in case of heavy losses, they are ready to continue their task.
“Some say they are well prepared, others say they are just bastards who don’t understand where they are (…). They are not afraid at all. They advance and shoot with any weapon,” he emphasized.
