With her head bandaged after being shot, the mother gave details of the day of the crime and her daughter’s relationship with her father. “She always liked it a lot, always, ‘I’m going to Dad’s house’, she was always very happy with him. He always sent me messages saying ‘she really likes staying here’, he stayed with his mother, always under her care”.

However, according to Ayla’s mother, Diego had already premeditated the crime. “He rolled down the window on her (daughter’s) side, she looked at me and said: ‘Mommy’, I said ‘I miss you daughter’, he turned around and shot. Everything was premeditated.”

“She was raised to love being with her. I taught my daughter to love a monster”, said Cristina during the wake.
