Despite the increase in cases of Covid-19 and flu syndromes, there is no overcrowding in the Intensive Care Units (ICUs) in Rio Branco and several ICU beds are available in hospitals, if necessary, is what the Health Observatory of Rio Branco says. Sesacre.

The latest update this Wednesday (25) shows the number of beds available: there are 7 Adult ICU beds at Fundracre (out of 18 offered) and another 5 at Hospital Santa Juliana (out of 20 offered).

In Cruzeiro do Sul, the only 10 ICU beds for adults are occupied at the Hospital Regional do Juruá. It is the only place where the situation is most critical.

In pediatrics, of the 20 pediatric ICU beds at Iolanda Costa e Silva Hospital, 14 are occupied.

The monitoring also shows Huerb’s specific numbers, with the number of 15,441 hospitalizations, overall, this year, with 998 hospitalizations this month of December, 104 hospitalizations this week alone and the number of 2 hospitalizations today, 25.

The beds remain available because the registered COVID cases are not serious, despite the increase in infected people, says the Secretary of Health, Pedro Pascoal.

“No case got worse. The ICUs remain without serious cases, thanks to vaccination. After mass vaccination, we had no worsening of cases”, he highlighted.
