“The pilots fought for almost two hours to keep the plane flying, until they lost total control”

José Correia Guedes, former TAP commander, analyzes the trajectory of the Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 plane, which crashed this Wednesday in Kazakhstan while en route to Russia, with 67 people on board.

Based on preliminary information, the former commander concludes that everything indicates that there was “a total loss of control” of the aircraft and that the pilots “fought for almost two hours” to keep the plane in the air. At least 28 people survived.
