President of Chega decided to support the team, for the 2026 World Cup, in an original way. And with a wrong name.
A selection Portuguese team held their last training session this Friday before Saturday’s friendly match with Chile, in what will be the first test of the internship for the Mundial2026 football, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
As usual, Portugal continues working at Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras.
Selector Roberto Martínez will not count on Matheus Nunes, who had an indisposition. João Felix there is still doubt for the duel with Chile.
Those who will not face the South American team are the four recent two-time European champions: Nuno Mendes, João Neves, Vitinha and Gonçalo Ramoswho on Saturday won the Champions League with PSG.
For this game against Chile, the priority is not winning the match: it is “winning a team”, said Roberto Martínez.
Portugal’s debut will be on June 17th (6pm), against Congo, at the NRG Stadium in Houston, USA.
