Here is the proportion of European support for a negotiated end to the conflict between Moscow and Kiev, even if Ukraine has to cede territories to Russia:
- France – 43%;
- Germany – 45%;
- Italy – 55%;
- Spain – 46%;
- Sweden – 24%;
- Denmark – 34%;

The results of the survey are released at a time when financial aid to Ukraine continues from the United States, Donald Trump (Republican Party), who will take office on January 20th.
The Republican is a critic of the aid sent by President Joe Biden (Democratic Party). During the campaign, he stated that he will cut support for the Ukrainians if they do not agree to negotiate an end to the conflict with Russia.
On the other hand, he also said that, if the Russians do not agree to negotiate an end to the war, the Ukrainians will receive more support from the Americans to expel the Army from the territory of the occupied country.
Furthermore, the conflict between Moscow and Kiev in recent months has seen stagnant front lines and the use of more powerful weapons by both sides, increasing the European population’s fear of the continuation of the war.
