The CBF announced the creation of an exclusive channel aimed at receiving reports of manipulations in sporting competitions in Brazil. The announcement took place on Friday night and the idea is to ensure the credibility of the disputes by protecting these competitions against irregular practices.
The program is already active and the channel can be used throughout Brazil through the website of the entity that controls national football. According to the CBF, the whistleblower has guaranteed anonymity and any individual can make the complaint.
Included in this statement are the most varied segments of professionals linked to sport, ranging from athletes, coaches, referees, assistants and medical professionals, as well as intermediaries, match organizers, clubs and federations.

This relationship also includes CBF employees, customers, suppliers, commercial partners and fans. Any personnel who holds a position or function in football can also assist with any information regarding any suspected manipulation.
Also according to the CBF, “the manipulation of sports competitions refers to any intentional agreement, act or omission that aims to irregularly alter the result or course of a sports competition, eliminating, in whole, in part, the unpredictable nature of the event with the aim of undue advantages”.
