This Saturday, Porto hosts Boavista at Estádio do Dragão at 8:30 pm and, on Sunday, Sporting and Benfica play at Alvalade.
It’s classic day at Invicta. Boavista goes to Estádio do Dragão in search of a victory, after five games without winning, and Cristiano Bacci admits that a draw would already be positive.
“A draw is always positive, when you score it is always positive. But, as I said, we cannot make a comparison between the two teams, between the targets of the two teams. But the idea of scoring at Dragão will be the same”, says Cristiano Bacci, coach of Boavista Futebol Clube
With Francisco Moura and Grujic out of the classic, Porto believes it will be a difficult game. So far without defeats at home, the black and white team know they need to win the match to take the lead in the championship.
“We know that we only depend on ourselves to get to where we want to get, which is to stay at the top of the standings. This necessarily involves winning the game, knowing that there is also a classic in Lisbon. But that, for us, is of little use if we don’t do what we have to do and we know that the only way to eventually climb one or another place in the classification can only happen by winning our game”, says Vítor Bruno, Football coach Porto Club.
The Invicta classic takes place this Saturday at 8:30 pm, but, in case of victory, Porto’s lead may not last long because there is a classic in Lisbon on Sunday.
Benfica, one point ahead of Sporting and Porto, plays in Alvalade in Rui Borges’ first game in charge of the Lions.
The coach debuts in the match that could dictate who ends the year at the top of the championship.
