Santarém Hospital, Lezíria Local Health Unit
The Board of Directors of the Local Health Unit (ULS) Lezíria was dismissed by the Ministry of Health. The information was given by the leadership structure itself, this Friday, in a farewell message.
The Government dismissed the administration of ULS da Lezíria – which covers the municipalities of Almeirim, Alpiarça, Cartaxo, Chamusca, Coruche, Golegã, Rio Maior, Salvaterra de Magos and Santarém.
“By decision of the Ministry of Health, our journey as Board of Directors of ULS da Lezíria now comes to an end”, informed the members of the board of directors, Tatiana Silvestre, Ana Rita Paulos, João Soares Ferreira, João Formiga and Sérgio Domingos, in a statement on the ministry’s portal.
The five remember the work they have carried out since February this year, building ULS Lezíria, an entity that brought together the Santarém District Hospital and ACES (Health Center Group) Lezíria, “consolidating a model of proximity and integration to the service” of the communities .
“Since February this year, we have had the privilege of building something that will be engraved in the history of our region: the creation of ULS Lezíria, an entity that united the Hospital Distrital de Santarém and ACES Lezíria, consolidating a model of proximity and integration to the healthcare service. our communities”, says the text.
“The work carried out throughout this year was guided by the union of efforts, the sharing of ideas and the overcoming of challenges that were only possible through the team spirit that characterized this Board of Directors (…) Together, we took significant steps in improving the accessibility, the quality of care provided and the efficiency of our services”.
“We leave with the certainty that ULS Lezíria will continue to prosper, based on the values we share and the mission of caring for those who need it most. We wish all those who remain and those who will come the greatest strength and success”, concludes the outgoing administration.
This is another one that the AD Government – in office since April – has carried out in recent months.
