The ousted president of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, expressed condolences to the victims of the plane crash this Sunday (29), in Muan, in the south of the Asian country.
The Boeing 737-800 plane carrying 181 people, including six crew members, crashed into a wall and exploded at the region’s International Airport.

In a message on Facebook, Yeol expressed solidarity with the families and victims of the accident.
“A devastating accident happened today at Muan International Airport. I am deeply saddened and heartbroken,” he wrote. “I would like to send my deepest condolences to the victims and their loved ones. I am convinced that the government will do everything possible to resolve the situation and provide support to the victims and their families”, he concluded.
Yoon also called on the government to ensure the safety of firefighters and other rescue workers on the ground and added that he will “stand with the people” to ensure a speedy recovery from the accident.

Yoon was removed in a parliamentary vote on December 14. Since his removal, the politician had not spoken out publicly.
