Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi declared on Saturday that 2025 will be an important year for the Iranian nuclear issue. TASR informs about it according to a Reuters report. The head of Iranian diplomacy added that on this issue discussed in Beijing with his Chinese counterpart Wang Im. However, he did not mention what importance the next year could have in this regard.

According to Reuters, Iranian officials fear that the newly elected US President Donald Trump, who takes office on January 20, could allow Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities. They are also worried about the tightening of US sanctions against the key oil industry, writes Reuters.

Trump during his first term in 2018, he withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal on the grounds that it was too generous to Tehran. Subsequently, he renewed the tough US sanctions against Iran, which gradually led Tehran to violate the limits set by the agreement.
