Some of them, like Vladislav Šurygin, maintain that although the Eagle S belongs to the Russian fleet sabotage itself, would have been a cover by the West to take the Russian tanker, and remember that Both Europe and the US have among their main objectives to take one of the members of the “shadow fleet” and thus obtain classified information about it.
Furthermore, Šurygin assures that this fact has revealed that “the piracy actions of the Finns” show that “they have finally lost the last vestiges of respect for international maritime law”. But at the same time, the Russian propagandist claims that it is Russia that would have to “destroy all communication cables and pipes and the Internet.” All this in the area of Great Britain and Europe in the fastest way and “without negotiation”.
Another of the Russian propagandists par excellence is Aleksandr Kots, who maintains that NATO “has found the opportunity to gain a foothold in the Baltic.” This idea comes from the hand, supposedly, of the words of the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, who maintained that from now on, military pressure will increase in the area.
For his part, another investigator from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Alekasandr Stepanov, told the agency TASS that all this would have been the idea of the United States, a country that would have ordered Finland to carry out “provocations against the Russian merchant fleet” and thus stop commercial traffic in the Baltic in favor of NATO.
