The first position of the governor (Republicans) in the face of the crisis generated by relations between (-RJ) and , of , displeased Bolsonarists in .
saying that he promptly provided clarifications on the topic, the evaluations collected by Sheet with three supporters of the Bolsonaro clan, under reserve conditions, were in the sense that the governor sought to distance himself from Flávio.
The crisis was triggered on Wednesday (13), when the website revealed that financing was provided for the production of a biographical film about the former president (PL).
According to the report, of the estimated R$134 million, at least R$61 million were transferred from February to May 2025. Vorcaro is in prison, and Banco Master was liquidated by the Central Bank.
Flávio, the former deputy and other parliamentarians from the group have focused the senator’s defense on the argument that the film was financed without public resources. They also say they are in favor of a broader investigation, through a CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) into Master.
When saying on Thursday (14) that the topic is “concerning”, Tarcísio did not refer to these arguments and, when highlighting that the senator “immediately tried to provide all the clarifications”, he stated that Flávio should continue giving answers — which, among allies, indicated that, for the governor, the explanations were not enough.
A possible CPI by Master does not have the support of the center in Congress — which has names mentioned in investigations into the scandal. The deviations in the Master, which caused a R$47 billion loss to the FGC (Credit Guarantee Fund), relied on resources from private investors and also from public servants’ pension funds.
The contradiction with the governor’s position was heightened because, according to reports, in addition to considering that Flávio has more to explain, Tarcísio asked assistants to cancel the meeting with the senator scheduled for this Friday night (15) in Campinas.
The attempt took place this Thursday, while Tarcísio was visiting the cities of ABC. He delivered apartments, had lunch with supporters and announced measures for urban mobility. Faced with signs that neither Flávio nor Derrite wanted to postpone, Tarcísio was advised to keep the meeting, according to one of his interlocutors.
The senator and the governor had scheduled an event to launch the (PP-SP) pre-candidacy for the Senate. Last week, the PP had already postponed an event attended by the governor following the Federal Police operation that targeted him, who denies irregularities.
At the end of February, when Flávio met Tarcísio at a meeting at Palácio dos Bandeirantes, the governor told the senator that he would be responsible for coordinating the pre-campaign in the state. At the time, assistants to Bolsonaro’s eldest son reported being positively surprised by the signage.
On social media, parliamentarians and Bolsonaro supporters have spared the governor from attacks for now. According to one of the group’s members, there is still the expectation that, at the event in Campinas, Tarcísio will adopt a position closer to Flávio in his defense.
