The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office maintains its request for 15 years in prison for Mariano Rajoy’s time for his alleged involvement in the Kitchen case. This was announced by the public ministry this Monday, during a new session of the trial that sees former minister Jorge Fernández Díaz in the dock, among others; Francisco Martínez, former Secretary of State for Security; and Eugenio Pino, former deputy operational director (DAO) of the Corps. The accusation maintains that to spy on the former popular treasurer Luis Bárcenas with the aim of stealing compromising documents that he could still keep from senior officials of the PP and the conservative party itself, then surrounded by the Gürtel case.
