Vienna – 35 years ago, black license plates in Austria were replaced by white license plates. But there are still more than 126,000 of them on Austria’s roads – most often in Lower Austria, Styria and Upper Austria. “In relation to all registered vehicles, it is still 1.7 percent,” reported Wiener Städtische Versicherung in a press release on Thursday.
