The man who died when a Tesla Cybertruck exploded in Las Vegas, USA, suffered a gunshot wound to the head before the explosion, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill said Thursday. Two unnamed law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation identified the victim as Matthew Livelsberger, an active-duty member of the military. He served at a base in North Carolina, where several special forces, including the Green Berets, are headquartered.

FBI Deputy Director Christopher Raia announced Thursday that authorities have so far found “no conclusive link” to the incident in New Orleans, where gunman Shamsud-Din Jabbar plowed into a crowd of people at a New Year’s Eve party, killing at least 15 people. Like Livelsberg, he served at the base in North Carolina.
