A video published by journalist Lília Camargo has been gaining repercussion. The images show coupons for AcreCap, a capitalization bond sold in the state, found discarded in a dumpster, in the Second District of the capital of Acre.
“That’s why we don’t win, we buy, we buy and we never win. Here in Triângulo, I found a box in the trash full of (coupon) papers, they didn’t even go to the draw, they threw everything in the trash,” says the woman in a video recording the find.
AcreCap published an official note, where it explained that the coupons in the video were not marked with the payment seal, which serves as a way of authenticating which of them had actually been purchased, and are not valid for the draw.
“Acrecap is a capitalization bond available at several points of sale. Anyone over 16 years old can purchase it, fill it out and participate in the draws. However, only sealed coupons, upon payment, are considered valid,” said the statement.
AcreCap presenter, Marcos Bergson, spoke about the accusations in the comments of a publication involving the case, and defended the company, stating that they work with “absolute transparency”.
“We are a serious company! AcreCap has been working with absolute transparency for 13 years! Many lives have already been transformed through AcreCap and there are still many stories to be told. I am happy to work in a company that is committed to the people of Acre. Don’t listen to Fake News!”, he said.
