Forró singer Wesley Safadão signaled candidacy support by fellow country singer Gusttavo Lima. The musician known as Ambassador declared that he will go.
In Instagram stories, Safadão shared on Thursday (2.Jan.2025) a print from a video call with Gusttavo Lima and wrote: “Talking to my president!! Happy New Year, BB.”
In an interview with the portal Metropolisesthe singer said he is not yet affiliated with any party, but that he will begin dialogue with political groups aligned with his political plans.
“I know a lot of people and, although I have never held any political position, I am an entrepreneur. I have set up many companies and I know how to make the wheels turn. […] I think I can help, maybe I will change my mind by 2026, but today my disposition is very inclined to become a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic in 2026”, said the country singer.
Someone who also showed interest in entering political life was influencer Deolane Bezerra, who commented on one of the singer’s publications offering to be his vice-candidate.
