The singer Anita31, got into an argument with a version of herself on a dating app Artificial intelligencewhich imitates voice and personality, this Sunday (5). Without revealing the name of the program, the singer published a sequence of videos on Instagram to criticize the use of the tool and claim that, as a result, her copyright and intellectual rights were stolen.
Before the recordings, the artist warned the public: “In the next stories, follow how artificial intelligence, used in a stupid way, steals our data, our characteristics, our rights and many other problems that I will not list here so as not to cause any more unnecessary controversy. …Draw your own conclusions.”
In the following videos, she appeared arguing with a version of herself, who responds and has the same mannerisms as the artist — in other words, the tool imitates the personality of .
“You are an impostor, I am the real Anitta”, she said. The voice of artificial intelligence then replied: “Impossible, there is only one Anitta”.
The discussion continued and the Brazilian artist replied: “You little cow. Anitta is me. You, with this app, are stealing my voice, my identity, my personality, my way of speaking. You’re making money without paying me a dollar. This application should be sued, because it should be paying me to use my voice, image, personality… my tone of speech.”
She also stated that she would “accept this humiliation” if she were paid for an artificial intelligence to imitate her personality. “But that’s not even happening”, concluded Anitta.
