The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) informed, in a note, that last Saturday (4) the work of extracting, acquiring and validating the data contained in the two flight recorders, better known as black box, from registration 4K- AZ65. The activities were carried out at the Flight Recorder Data Reading and Analysis Laboratory (LABDATA) of the Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA), in Brasília.
The extracted data was handed over to the Kazakhstan Investigation Authority, responsible for analyzing and investigating the accident, in accordance with international protocols. on December 25, 2024, near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan.
The work had the cooperation of Aviation Accident and Incident Investigation – Department of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The partnership reflects Brazil’s commitment, through the Ministry of Defense and the FAB, to aviation safety.
The FAB highlighted that the analysis and conclusions on the accident, including the final report, are the sole responsibility of the Kazakhstan Investigative Authority, in accordance with Annex 13 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.
