The mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), manifested on Wednesday (17) after the approval of the urgent request for the PL (Bill) of amnestystating that the country needs to “walk”.
The urgent request was approved by 311 votes favorable to 163 contrary, in addition to seven abstentions.
“Brazil needs pacification. It is not about erasing the past, but of allowing the present to be reconciled and the future built on dialogue and respect. There are urgent themes ahead and the country needs to walk “, said the president.
“We have in the house distinct visions and divergent interests about the events of 8/1/2023. It is in the plenary that ideas face each other, divergences meet and democracy pulsates in full force,” said the president.
“As mayor, my mission is to conduct this debate with balance, respecting the Internal Regulations and the College of Leaders, not to impose a truth, but to ensure that all are heard. Today we guide the urgency of a Bill of Deputy Marcelo Crivella to discuss the theme to whom compliance,” he adds.
“Now a rapporteur will be appointed so that we can reach as soon as possible to a substitute text that finds the large support of the house.”
