Series with Portuguese characters won four statuettes in a dream night for the Brazilian actress, who surpassed Kidman, Jolie and Winslet. Hacks was the best series and “The Brutalist” and “Emilia Pérez” triumphed in the cinema.
The Japanese series “Shōgun”, which includes Portuguese characters, won the biggest television awards in the 82nd Golden Globe Awards Ceremonydelivered on Sunday, at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.
The FX series dominated the drama category and took home four statuettes: Best Series, Best Actress for Anna Sawai, Best Actor for Hiroyuki Sanada and Best Supporting Actor for Tadanobu Asano, in a historic night for giving the first statuette ever given to a Brazilian actress, Fernanda Torresin “I’m Still Here”, in the most coveted category, dramatic film, surpassing veterans like Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet.
“I didn’t prepare anything”, confessed the Brazilian actress, appearing very surprised by the distinction given at the 82nd Golden Globe ceremony, which took place this morning in Los Angeles.

The Best Animated Film was “Flow”a title coming from Latvia, the Best Soundtrack went to “Challengers”, while “Conclave”, about the choice of a pope and the mechanics of the Vatican, won Best Screenplay.
Already “Wicked” won an award created last year, for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
