Burbank (California) – Walt Disney is merging the live broadcast business of its streaming division Hulu with the corresponding segment of its rival FuboTV. The US entertainment group will hold 70 percent of the new joint venture, Disney announced on Monday. The merger will create the second largest Internet pay-TV provider in North America behind YouTube TV with sales of around six billion dollars (5.8 billion euros) and 6.2 million subscribers.
