Minister Šimkovičová dismissed another director: Pavel Sibyla leaves the Slovak Literary Center

The current director of the Slovak Literary Center (SLC), Pavel Sibyla, is ending his post. The organization itself informs about it on the social network. “SLC was visited on Wednesday afternoon by employees of the Ministry of Culture (MK) of the Slovak Republic, the director of the center Pavlov Sibyl was handed a letter from the Minister of Culture, dated Wednesday, in which she dismissed him from his position without giving a reason,” they stated

Sibyl led the SLC from January 2022, he was appointed to the post based on a selection process by the then Minister of Culture Natália Milanová (OĽANO, the current Slovak movement). In the past, Sibyla was the director of the Stop Corruption Foundation, and for a time he was also in the chairmanship of the PS movement.

The Slovak Literary Center is a conceptual documentation center in the field of original literary work in the Slovak Republic and Slovak literary work abroad. It is a contributory organization of the Ministry of Culture.
