Next Tuesday (January 14th) the public proceedings against the Carinthian Lakeside Festival will begin at the Klagenfurt State Administrative Court. As reported, the non-profit association received mail from the financial police in 2023. It was a criminal complaint in which club members were named who, according to the financial police, should have been registered with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK). The association was checked by the Anti-Fraud Office on July 15, 2023, and 192 misconducts were recorded, which means that these people should have been registered. According to the association’s lawyer, 730 euros per person are required. In total, this results in a fine of over 140,000 euros – plus ten percent of procedural costs.
