Walker was missing for two weeks. Survived with just two energy bars

A young student walked away from his friends to take photos and ended up lost for 13 days in a national park. I didn’t take food or water.

23-year-old medical student Hadi Nazari decided to go for a walk on December 26th through Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales, Australia. I went with friends, but walked away to take photographshaving lost his way from the group.

He has been missing for 13 days since then.. Hundreds of friends, family and authorities were looking for the young man throughout the natural park region, but it was only on Wednesday afternoon that they managed to find Nazari.

Nazari was then taken to the search command post by helicopter, and later assessed by paramedics at the scene and transported to a hospital. There are no significant injuries and — as far as possible — is in good healththe authorities clarify.

Nazari only survived thanks to a hut he found in the middle of the mountains, in which there were only two muesli bars — a kind of granola —, which the young man ate.

These energy bars were “pretty much all he had to consume in the last two weeks,” the superintendent said. He added that the walker also found water in streams and found some wild fruits.

The Australian channel shows a video of the family reuniting with the young student again. “It’s the happiest day of our lives”, they exclaimed.

The young man was found about 10 kilometers from the place where he had agreed to meet his friends — a camp.

“He traveled a great distance during the period he was missing”, said the police officer.
