Pneumothorax is a condition characterized by the accumulation of air between the lung and the chest wall. This accumulated air puts pressure on the lungs, which prevents them from expanding properly and can cause breathing difficulties. If left untreated, the condition can cause partial or complete lung collapse.

The governor performed a procedure to remove the accumulated air and allow the lungs to expand again. In a statement, the DF government stated that she will be under medical observation.
