An elderly man, aged 75, suffered an electric shock while repairing a microwave, on the afternoon of this Wednesday (8), in the Abranches neighborhood, in Curitiba. The victim was unconscious for a few minutes but his condition is stable.

The elderly man who suffered the electric shock is the owner of a technical assistance company and was left with burns on his right hand. Siate was called and the doctor stated that the concern in these situations is cardiac changes.
“Fortunately he is stable, the cardiac part is also normal according to the examination we carried out. It is a situation that can eventually be serious, we have already seen cases of victims with arrhythmias and even death after the electrical discharge caused by microwaves”, said doctor Antônio Toso.
