Corinthians announced the contract renewal of Paraguayan Ángel Romero. The striker signed a new contract this Wednesday (8), valid until December 2025. The athlete is the best foreign scorer in Timão’s history, with 62 goals.
“I am very happy to extend my contract with . Everyone knows the affection I have for the club and everything I experienced here. Renewing this contract is very rewarding. We have a year of many challenges with the group. I hope we can achieve something. We will definitely fight for this”, he shared.
In 2024, the Paraguayan participated in 59 matches, scoring 14 goals and distributing eight assists. Despite not being a starter the entire year, the player was one of the leaders who helped the team.
At 32 years old, Ángel Romero has two spells at Timão, with 324 games, 62 goals and four titles won: Brasileirão in 2015 and 2017, and Paulistão in 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, the player is the team’s top scorer, with 38 goals.
