President Luiz Inácio da Silva () thanked the leaders for their presence at the ceremony in memory of the two years since January 8, 2023.
“I want to thank Múcio who brought the three commanders of the Armed Forces to show this country that it is possible for us to build the Armed Forces with the aim of defending national sovereignty”, he said.
After the declaration, the president highlighted the country’s natural wealth and the need for valorization. At the event were Minister José Múcio (Defense) and the commanders of the Navy, Marcos Olsen, the Army, Tomás Paiva, and the Air Force, Marcelo Damasceno.
The government was already shaken by the arrest of high-ranking officers.
