Commission wants Brazilian telemedicine for Venezuelans – 06/26/2026 – Panel

The president of the Senate Human Rights Commission, (-DF), sent a letter asking the government to make Brazilian telemedicine possible for victims of the Venezuelan earthquakes.

The letter was sent this Friday (26) to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, . The request is for Brazilian doctors to provide remote care at no cost to the government or victims.

The request made by the Associação Brasil pela Cura (Acura Brasil) also requested the release of local validity for medical prescriptions issued, including for measures that require a special prescription.

The proposal envisages operation on the Doctor8 platform by two thousand volunteer specialists – doctors and psychologists.

The entity says it has mobilization capacity and cites previous experiences such as serving 12 thousand families during the pandemic and assisting six thousand families
