Singer Otto Weiter (70) became an oncology patient a few years ago and is therefore under the scrutiny of doctors. Thanks to this, they discovered that something was happening again in his body. In an interview with the portal, he stated correctly that it is not a return of the cancer or a dramatic worsening of the situation.
“It’s a thing that has been followed for five years. I feel extremely well, and the doctors themselves are surprised at what condition I am in.” he emphasized. According to him, no metastases appeared during the entire period, and the only change was the increased values of PSA markers, which doctors regularly monitor for prostate cancer.
After an agreement with the experts, he decided on a modern form of radiation that targets the tumor deposits themselves. “I completed a total of 20 days of treatment, during which I got up around five o’clock every morning to get to the radiation,” explained Weiter.
Even in these difficult times, he can lean on his beloved wife Petra. “That’s my angel,” the singer confessed. “I was far from the only one who came with a partner. Many patients had their loved ones with them, which gave them strength to cope with the difficult period,” he added.
Weiter remains in a positive mood and has a lot to look forward to in the summer. For the first time, he should meet his granddaughter, who was born by his daughter Nikola Weiterová in the USA. The birth of a girl who was given an unconventional name Nova, it was a big surprise for everyone, as Nikola guards his privacy well.
According to her, only her mother, sister and longtime friend knew about it in Slovakia. She did not mention her father’s name among the initiates. Nevertheless, the singer was very happy and dedicated kind words to his daughter and granddaughter on Instagram. „Welcome, little angel! We welcome the new NEW! May she shine in health in this big world… Niky, this is your greatest victory of all! Proud grandparents,” signed Otto and Petra under the hearty congratulations.
They could soon include them personally with their love. “The girls should come to Slovakia in the summer and we are very much looking forward to them. Although I don’t know if it will be a difficult journey for the little one, I will be happy to see them.” Weiter told the women’s website honestly, saying that he will only travel in Slovakia, where he has many concerts waiting for him.
