The national secretary of Legislative Affairs of , , asked to disaffiliate from , after more than seven years in the party.
Marivaldo states that he is leaving so that he can focus on his work in the government and the ministry. He does not intend to join any party for now.
“I learned a lot during my time at the party, but I think this year will be very decisive for the government and I wanted to be fully focused on helping in this reconstruction process so that we can re-elect President Lula in 2026”, he states.
The secretary was one of the main PSOL officials in the Lula government. He had been affiliated with the party since November 2017 and became president of the directory in the Federal District. He was also a candidate for Senate in 2018.
