In an interview with CNN this Friday (10), he defended the parliamentary amendments.
The politician highlighted the importance of these resources for needy states and stated that he was proud of his participation in the creation of amendments.
“What we have to do is quickly comply with the determination of the Federal Supreme Court and provide transparency, create mechanisms so that there are no errors in the distribution of these resources or that they cannot be misapplied”, he stated.
The senator highlighted that the amendments are fundamental for investments and works in states that need resources.
“I am very proud to have corroborated the amendments. I am the champion of amendments in my state, the man who sent the most amendments and resources”, declared Ciro.
Criticism and defense
The senator responded to criticism about the increase in parliamentary amendments during his role as coordinator of the government of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PT).
He argued that condemning the amendments is a mistake, “considering the good they do for the population” of the benefiting states.
“I am very happy when a mayor or leadership praises me for sending these resources to my state, which is a very needy state, which needs investment in works, which are made with these amendments”, said Ciro.
Despite defending the amendments, Nogueira recognized the need to improve control and transparency mechanisms in the application of these resources.
The senator highlighted the importance of following the determinations of the Federal Supreme Court to ensure the correct use of funds.
