On Sunday, the District Court in Banská Bystrica decided to take into custody a 37-year-old man accused of committing a violent crime, who was detained by the police on Saturday, May 16. The Banská Bystrica regional police informs about it on the social network. According to the information published by the portal, Andrej was supposed to kidnap a 44-year-old woman from Revúca.
The couple met through the Internet. During the meeting, he was supposed to physically assault his victim and trap her in her own trunk cars. There, according to medialized details, he kept her and drove her around chained for several days. Andrej was supposed to torture the woman repeatedly, pour cold water on her and force her to give him access passwords to her bank accounts. Finally, a larger amount of money disappeared from them.
The distressed woman managed to escape from captivity after almost a week. Witnesses found her desperate and injured near Urpín in Banská Bystrica. In addition to deep psychological trauma, she ended up in the hospital with serious injuries, including facial fractures.
The investigator charged the man with the crime of restricting personal freedom committed in conjunction with the crime of robbery, with the crime of bodily harm, the crime of dangerous threats, but also the crime of unauthorized production and use of a means of payment. “There are further procedural actions in the case, for this reason it is not possible for the police to provide more detailed information,” the police added.
