Brazil earns around R$78 million with qualification for the round of 16

The Brazilian team’s qualification for the round of 16 of the World Cup also represents an important financial boost for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). After the 2-1 victory over Japan, this Monday (29), the Brazil secured a prize pool of US$ 11.5 millionequivalent to approximately R$78 million at the current price.

With the new value, the prize accumulated by the National Team in the competition reaches US$ 35 million (around R$ 182 million)adding the amounts received for participating in the group stage and for advancing to the knockout stages.

Now, the team led by Carlo Ancelotti awaits the definition of the clash between Ivory Coast and Norway to find out the opponent for the round of 16.

O 2026 World Cup sets historic records with the biggest prizes ever distributed in the history of the competition. The future champion of the tournament will pocket the amount of US$50 million, while the other teams increase their profits in a staggered manner as they advance through the knockout stages of the dispute.
