A 15-year-old teenager was arrested on Friday night (10), after trying to board 35 kg of marijuana on a bus in Curitiba, bound for São Paulo.
The young woman had arrived in Curitiba from Foz do Iguaçu, West of Paraná, and was detained by municipal guards who were carrying out preventive patrols on the Curitiba Bus Station.
According to the Curitiba Municipal Guard (GM), other passengers waiting for a bus at the bus station informed the agents of the teenager’s suspicious behavior.

Municipal guards Vinícius and Campos then called the Dog Operations Group (GOC) to assist in the verification.
With the help of scent dog Kayla, the guards found the marijuana inside a suitcase and a backpack that the teenager was carrying.
The young woman was taken to the Adolescent Police Station and it will be up to the Paraná Civil Police (PCPR) to take legal measures.
“The quick and efficient action of the Municipal Guard once again demonstrated its commitment to the safety of our city. Integration between agents, the use of technology and the assistance of sniffer dogs are fundamental to combating organized crime”, explained the Secretary of Social Defense and Traffic, Rafael Vianna.
