Lula is incompatible “with the people” for missing the march, says Caiado

Pre-candidate declares that the PT member “has no way of facing the population” and would be booed if he participated in the event in São Paulo

The pre-candidate for President (PSD) stated this Thursday (June 4, 2026) that the absence of the president (PT) and demonstrates, according to him, the “incompatibility” from the PT “with the people” Brazilian.

“He [Lula] He knows that today he does not have the minimum conditions to appear in public. What testifies to his absence here is his incompatibility with the people. That’s the truth. If he came here today, he would be heavily booed and he knows he can’t face the populationsaid Caiado during a speech to the faithful at the religious event in São Paulo.

The event brought together right-wing politicians, such as the senator and pre-candidate for President (PL-RJ), the governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), and the mayor of the capital of São Paulo, (MDB).

The Union’s attorney general, , represented Lula at the march. Messias is a presbyter of the Baptist Church and acts as one of the Planalto Palace’s interlocutors with the evangelical segment. The minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) André Mendonça also participated.

Caiado also declared that Lula uses the public machine to try to influence the 2026 election. The president is a pre-candidate for re-election.

“He is using all the elements of the federal government to try to distort the results of the elections, using all populism, using all the devices, penalizing the Brazilian economy to try to win an election”stated Caiado.

The pre-candidate spoke alongside the PSD president, , to be his running mate.

In a nod to the evangelical electorate, Caiado said he intends to return the country “to good Brazilians” if he is elected and defended that the next president should have “moral integrity”.

“These people, who were chosen to be the people of God, have to be governed by someone who has moral integrity, dignity, the ability to tell young people that they will not be subordinated to drug trafficking, they will not live under a government of corruption, so that Brazil has the relevance it deserves on the international stage”he declared.
