Egle takes the overall World Cup lead with victory in Altenberg

Altenberg – Madeleine Egle celebrated her third victory of the season at the Luge World Cup in Altenberg and thus took the lead in the overall standings. The 26-year-old Tyrolean won the women’s single-seater on Sunday ahead of the two German local heroes Anna Berreiter (+0.150 seconds) and Merle Fräbel (+0.263), world champion Lisa Schulte (+0.322) slipped two positions to fourth place in the final. In the team relay, the ÖRV team made it past the podium with fourth place.
