Ethiopia and Somalia resume diplomatic relations

Addis Ababa – After strong tensions last year, the East African states of Somalia and Ethiopia have agreed to fully resume their diplomatic relations. Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and Somalia’s head of state Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud have agreed to “restore and strengthen” bilateral relations, both governments said on Saturday after Hassan’s visit to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
