Flamengo beat EC São Bernardo 3-1, on Saturday night (11), at the Francisco Ribeiro Nogueira Stadium, in Mogi das Cruzes, in the third round of the group stage of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior 2025. The victory consolidated the classification of the Rio team for the next phase of the competition.
Flamengo opened the scoring after just 2 minutes with Felipe Lima, who took advantage of a pass from Pedro Leão to score. The red-black dominance continued in the second half, with Bill extending the lead in the 24th minute and scoring again three minutes later.
São Bernardo managed to reduce the difference after 30 minutes with Kaique Lima, but it was not enough to reverse the result.
The match statistics reflect Flamengo’s dominance. The Rio team had greater possession of the ball (1213% against 1154% for São Bernardo), more shots on target (8 against 4) and greater accuracy in passing (253 successful passes against 263 for São Bernardo).
The São Paulo team, in turn, proved to be more combative in the tackles (16 successful against Flamengo’s 10), but suffered from the opponent’s offensive efficiency.
With this victory, Flamengo reached 6 points and the Copa São Paulo in second place. EC São Bernardo, with just 1 point, was in 4th place in Group 23, ending its participation in the competition.
