The Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Andrej Danko, who leads the delegation together with the other Deputy Speaker of the NR SR Tibor Gašpar, on Sunday after arriving in Moscow, he announced that he also had a confirmed meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrovinforms the TASR special reporter.
“I’m surprised how many Chinese cars there are… Markets vacated by some western companies have been taken by the Chinese,” said the deputy speaker of the parliament. However, he also stated that Western cars are also seen on the streets, so spare parts for them must be available in Russia.
In his own words, Danko plans to convey information from Moscow about Russia’s food self-sufficiency or the increase in investments by Western companies. Even before leaving for Moscow, he mentioned that he wanted to show what the situation is like in Russia and that Germans, French and Americans, for example, do business there.
The Vice-Presidents of the National People’s Republic of Slovakia, together with MPs Marián Kéry, Ján Mažgút and Richard Glück, as well as Adam Lučanský, visited the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow on Sunday evening. According to Danek, politics should not prevent Slovak artists and Russian artists from performing on this stage in Bratislava or elsewhere in the West. “Culture should unite nations,” he emphasized in a video on the social network.
Warsaw did not allow the Slovak government special vehicle to use Polish airspace for this trip, and so the parliamentary delegation had to fly to Russia via a detour through the Czech Republic, Germany and the Baltic Sea. From there, the plane headed to Russia via the Russian Kaliningrad region, Lithuania and Belarus.
