The Ukrainian authorities have declared an air alert throughout the territory due to the danger of a Russian missile attack, according to local media reported this Wednesday, citing sources from the country’s Armed Forces.
The alert comes one day after the attack launched by Ukraine against military infrastructure located in Russian territory, which kyiv has considered the largest offensive launched since the beginning of the war.
The attack hit targets located in the regions of Bryansk, Saratov, Tula and Tatarstan, located between 200 and 1,100 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
According to the first information about the Russian attack this Wednesday offered by the kyiv Air Force, the main target of the Russian missiles is the regions of the western part of Ukraine.
Western Ukraine has already been attacked by Russia in the latest massive bombings against the Ukrainian energy system. As an expert in the sector explained to EFE, one of the objectives of these attacks against the west were the Ukrainian gas deposits that are concentrated in the area.
As stated this Wednesday by the mayor of the city of Lviv, the most important in western Ukraine, Russian missiles have once again attacked energy infrastructure in the city and the region.
