National Treasury releases primary result; Minister Fernando Haddad (Finance) has already said that accounts should end the year with a deficit of 0.1% of GDP

The government presented a primary deficit of R$66.8 billion in public accounts from January to November 2024. There was an improvement compared to the same period in 2023, when the negative balance was R$112.5 billion in nominal values ​​– a real drop of 42.6%.

In the month, the loss was R$4.5 billion. The company released its balance sheet this Wednesday (January 15, 2025). The result concerns the central government’s accounts, which include the National Treasury, Social Security and the Central Bank.
