June 2024: It was exactly 229 days ago that Borussia Dortmund was on the verge of climbing to the throne of Europe. After an unprecedented run of success in the Champions League, BVB reached the final, played well for long stretches, but ultimately lost 2-0 to Real Madrid. A disappointing end to a fabulous premier class season, in which Dortmund showed a completely different, almost royal face, in contrast to the Bundesliga, where they only finished fifth.
