At least 27 dead: Slow return to fire areas in Los Angeles

Los Angeles – The dangerous strong winds in Southern California have subsided, but just over a week after the devastating fires broke out, the number of victims continues to rise. According to the Los Angeles coroner’s office, at least 27 people died in the fires. The remains were found in the fire zones of the “Palisades” fire on the western edge of Los Angeles and the “Eaton” fire near Pasadena.
