James Clarkson, 20, won £7.5 million in the British lottery on January 4. In an interview released by the National Lottery this Thursday (16), the young man stated that, even with the millionaire prize, he will continue working.

Currently, the young man works with his father, Stephen, 47 years old. He is an intern and works as a gas engineer.

“I’m not going to stop working. I want to qualify as a heating engineer and go from there,” said the young man. James also stated that he was already working the day after he found out he had become a millionaire. “I was out in the cold unblocking drains the day after I found out I had won.”

Girlfriend didn’t believe James had won the award. He woke her up, showed her a message on his cell phone that said he was the winner, she turned over and went back to sleep. “No, you didn’t win,” said the woman.

Young man called the National Lottery and confirmed his win. “I just started laughing. I thought, ‘This is crazy!’”.

James says his priority with money is helping his parents pay their mortgage. “This victory is not just for me, and I want to make sure we all benefit.”

Furthermore, the young man has already booked a luxurious trip to Cape Verde and bought some luxury items for himself and his girlfriend. He also plans to buy a new car.
