Federal deputy thanked Donald Trump Jr. for asking about his father; Former president will not attend the inauguration due to Moraes’ decision
The federal deputy (PL-SP) met with Donald Trump Jr., eldest son of the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump (Republican), on Saturday (18 January 2025).
On (ex-Twitter) and on his Instagram story this Sunday (Jan 19), Eduardo shared the moment he greets Donald Trump Jr. “Thank you for asking about my father, we know the regard you and your family have for Brazil”he wrote.

The meeting took place during the Hispanic Inaugural Ball. The event is part of the celebrations marking Trump’s inauguration. It was held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC
Eduardo will also participate in the , which will formalize the beginning of the Republican’s 2nd term as head of the White House. He will be accompanied by former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, who will appear on Saturday (18 January), and his brother, the senator (PL-RJ).
(PL) was invited, but will not be able to participate after the minister of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), Alexandre de Moraes, of the former president (2024).
When accompanying his wife at Brasília international airport on Saturday (18 January), Bolsonaro became emotional when he said that he would not participate in Trump’s inauguration. Said he was “upset and shaken”.
“Obviously it would be great for me to go. President Trump would really like it, so much so that he invited me. I’m upset, still shaken. […] I face enormous political persecution from one person”, he stated.
