Partnership with Tingho Holding aims to develop young talents in Eastern China following the Spanish championship methodology
LaLiga, in collaboration with Tingho Holding, the opening of LaLiga Academy Shanghai, its 1st football academy in Eastern China. The event took place in Shanghai on Friday (17.Jan.2025).
The academy, which will begin operations in 2025, is part of more than 830 sports projects in 57 countries managed by the Spanish league, aiming to raise the standard of youth football worldwide.
Located at Tianma Country Club, LaLiga Academy Shanghai will offer training for young Chinese talents up to 17 years old, following the LaLiga Methodology, which encompasses tactical-cognitive, technical-coordination, physical-conditional and psychological-socio-affective.
“This academy represents a milestone for LaLiga in Mainland China, being our first academy in Eastern China, especially in a city like Shanghai. It’s a long-term project that we were excited to launch. We know that there is great talent in China that we want to help develop through our methodologies. China is a strategic country for LaLiga, where we have been developing youth football projects since 2015”said Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga.

The methodology adopted by the Spanish championship emphasizes the individualization of training, recognizing that each player has different needs in their development.
